[ CHARACTER INFORMATION ]
Name: Glenn
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Canon: Chrono Trigger
Timeline: Post-game

Character History:
Glenn’s wiki

Glenn was born to merchant parents in the town of Guardia. When he was a boy, he was constantly picked on by older children because he was an easy target who didn’t fight back. One boy, Cyrus, took pity on him and protected Glenn from the bullies. Through this, Glenn and Cyrus became close friends, nearly inseparable while growing up.

Because they grew up in the central town of the kingdom, knights and court-life was an everyday thing for them, consequently, both boys grew up learning how to wield a sword. This plus the love of his kingdom, drew Cyrus to go into training for knighthood. While Glenn didn’t join Cyrus, he never left the man’s side and when Cyrus went to find the legendary sword said to be the only weapon that could bring down Magus, a warlock terrorizing their lands with his magic, Glenn went with him. There, Magus caught up with them, battled Cyrus, and killed the man in front of Glenn who was immobilized with fear.

Magus turned Glenn into an anthropomorphic Frog as punishment for not running away and (nearly) standing up to Magus. For the next 10 years of Glenn’s (Now going by ‘Frog’) life, he would practice his skill and defend the queen of his realm, waiting for a chance to have vengeance on Magus for the death of his best friend. When he meets Crono, he helps the boy, but doesn’t join his cause until Crono supplies him with the sword to bring Magus down. Together, he, Crono, and Crono’s friends go to face Magus who ends up getting away. When Frog finally meets with Magus again one-on-one, he takes the warlock on and defeats him using his newly acquired water-based powers (gained when he was blessed with magic by a creature know as a ‘Nu’). After the events of the game, when Crono, Frog, and the others are able to defeat Lavos (the main boss) Frog is released from his spell and returns to his realm as Glenn where he is knighted in reward for his 10 years of loyal service.

Character Personality:
Glenn has never been much of a fighter, always afraid of hurting someone else, he wouldn’t even defend himself from bullies who would hit him because he was an easy target. His only protector, Cyrus, taught him how to defend himself and it soon became clear that Glenn was very skilled with a sword and had everything but the drive to be an excellent solider.

When Cyrus joined the knights, he asked Glenn to join him since the younger man was good with a sword and had the honor required of a knight. However, Glenn merely stated he was too cowardly and afraid of hurting people.
However, Glenn’s warm and soft heart was hardened when he could do nothing but watch as Cyrus was slaughtered in front of him. When the mage who killed Cyrus turned Glenn into an anthropomorphic frog, the already antisocial boy became more reclusive. Only Glenn’s loyalty to Queen Leene (and later the protagonist, Crono) caused him to stop hiding from the world.

Through the events of the game it becomes clear that the young, scared, innocent, boy that Glenn used to be no longer exists. Ever since the death of Cyrus, Glenn has dropped his views about violence, recognizing it as a necessary evil and his only means of vengeance. Other than being a fierce fighter and a stubbornly loyal friend, Glenn also has the patience of a saint; shown in the fact he waited ten years to get his vengeance. He is almost overly polite to everyone he meets; often referring to people as ‘Miss’ or ‘Sir’ even when he doesn’t necessarily like or agree with them. Glenn is the epitome of the chivalrous white knight, though his unending drive for vengeance does show his darker side.

Character Abilities you would like to expand on further:
Frog’s abilities and spells are a mix of water-based magic and swordplay. Based on the vary nature of the spell, ‘Frog Squash’ is neutralized as a usable spell. All descriptions are of what how the spell would react in a real life/non-video game setting.

Slurp: Low-grade healing spell that heals minor injuries like cuts and bruises, but only one target at a time. Since this spell utilized Glenn’s ‘Frog form,’ it’s still available to him, but he’ll need to learn a new method for casting it.

Slurp-Cut: Sword attack wherein Frog draws in his enemies using his tongue like a whip and then attacks them. In replacement for his tongue, Glenn uses a whip to 'grab' his enemies.

Water: Low-grade water attack summoned from Glenn’s hands. It produces, at most, the amount of water necessary for a kiddie-pool. It can also come in the form of a bubble that hurts the target on impact.

Heal: Medium-grade healing spell. This can heal multiple people at once, though, the higher the number of people, the less effective it is. It comes in the form of a blue light. This spell could cure fatigue and small to medium physical injuries.

Aerial Strike: Glenn leaps into the air and brings his sword down onto his opponent from above.

Water2: A high-grade water spell. It can produce, at most, about as much water as found in an Olympic swimming pool.

Cure2: A High-grade healing spell, Glenn can cure one person at a time with this. The spell is strong enough to cure all physical injuries as well as fatigue; however, it is powerful enough that Glenn’s use of it is limited depending on his own strength.

[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]

What abilities will your character retain in Soul Campaign?

Slurp-Cut: Sword attack wherein Frog draws in his enemies using his tongue like a whip and then attacks them. In replacement for his tongue, Glenn uses a whip to 'grab' his enemies.

Aerial Strike: Glenn leaps into the air and brings his sword down onto his opponent from above.

His ability to cook, learned from the castle cook and honed in his time back home since returning to his human form and all of his skills learned from being a knight/swordsman.

What weaknesses will your character lose or gain in Soul Campaign?
He won’t have the advantage of long-distance attacks/defenses that his magic supplied him as well as the loss of his healing magic.

The wish Death the Kid made to the BREW in 2009 was to “rescue Death City and stop the waves of Madness from overtaking the world.” By whatever means necessary. Pretend you are the BREW. Why would you choose to bring this character to Death City?
Glenn has a strong sense of duty and of upholding what he believes to be ‘right.’ When presented with a conflict that he feels he can lend his skills to solving, he will do everything he can to see the issue through to the end.

If your character has difficulty verbally communicating or can’t verbally communicate at all (mute or non-humanoid), elaborate on how this will be treated in the game. (Skip if this doesn’t apply)

[ WEAPON ONLY SECTION ]

Why is your character a Weapon and not a Meister?
Bear in mind that Meisters and Weapons are meant to be equals in partnerships: Weapons are not merely tools to be used as objects. We will not accept the reason if it is related to this. There's no set rule on why a character should be a Weapon -- you can choose this based on personality, OOC preference or plans, or how you want the character to develop.

What is your character’s Weapon Form? Why?
The Masamune (A broadsword)
While it might not be necessary for Glenn to become his sword, the Masamune, the fact his entire character arch is built around its importance and defeating Magus with it seems to make it the most logical choice.

What is your character’s Weapon Ability?

Glenn's ability will mirror that of his Water 2 spell. Soul wavelength will be cast from the blade as water might and attack all enemies in the immediate area from his meister. The amount of 'water' and strength of the attack depends on how familiar Glenn is with his meister.

[ SOUL INFORMATION ]

Describe your character’s soul with six adjectives.
Loyal, just, cheerful, calm, kind, courageous

What does your character’s soul look like? Be creative.
Glenn’s soul would be Green and somewhat toy-frog shaped (A little like this: http://us.cdn1.123rf.com/168nwm/ravl/ravl0810/ravl081000033/3670059-green-rubber-toy-frog-for-bathing-on-a-white-background.jpg) with yellow eyes and a mini cape.

[The video turns on to show a green-haired young man with a perplexed expression.]

I apologize for bothering everyone, but I was hoping to have some aid in an issue that has perplexed me ever since my arrival in this place.

Many of the things here are new to me and fascinate me in a way I have not felt since I met my friend Lucca, most of these things I can understand on a basic level, but this idea of harnessing the very power of lightening and using it to brighten rooms is simply beyond me. Please, could someone put it to me in such a way that I might understand it better? I wish to know and comprehend as much as is possible of this place, and I am finding this particular concept a tad far down the road for me.

Any help one might offer would be greatly appreciated. [A small bow.]

The crisp morning air was refreshing and helped to shake the last bit of sleep from Glenn’s system. The sun was just beginning to touch the horizon and already the knight was fully dressed for travel. He would spend the day making his way to Truce then stop for some rest before continuing on his way to Porre. It was supposed to be a two day trip, assuming he didn’t have to make too many stops; but who knew, the monsters were still around even after Magus’ downfall, they could make travel difficult for even the most skilled knights in the realm.

That was why he’d been sent on this mission, it wasn’t full of honor or prestige, but it was necessary and potentially dangerous for whoever made the journey. The king trusted Glenn to make it there and back with little issue and Glenn wasn’t about to let his majesty down. There were times when he felt unworthy of the amount of trust the king and queen had in him, but he was never one to question their judgment…at least out loud. He was no counsel, merely a protector.

There was one stop he felt he had to make on his way: the middle of Zenan Bridge where, once upon a time, he and Cyrus had stood contemplating their futures. It was so long ago, and yet, he could remember every detail. “I hope you are at peace still, my friend.” He stared out at the horizon on the ocean-turned orange with the approach of the sun- and smiled. All Cyrus had wanted was peace for their kingdom and for Glenn and the younger knight was glad that he could continue to protect that peace in honor of his closest friend.

He closed his eyes, enjoying the wind on his face….and then everything was still.

His heart quickened when, instead of a sunrise, he found a dark room before his eyes. “What sort of magic….?” Had he stepped into a gate? But all the gates had sealed and, besides, he knew what gate travel felt like and that wasn’t it. Had he been kidnapped by someone with more magical skill than himself? With a jolt, he realized the familiar weight of his sword at his hip was gone as was the now-familiar whip he used. He was completely unarmed.

He longed for Chrono’s lighting or Lucca’s fire just so he could see, but his eyes were, slowly, adjusting…further confirming that he had never seen this place before and, based on the large screen in the room, he was no longer in 601 A.D. either.
